This collection of 168 etudes was composed to promote and build rhythmic fluency. The etudes are limited in their rhythmic material, and very gradually add more rhythms as the book progresses. Although it is designed for percussion students, this method will help any musician become fluent in common sixteenth-note rhythms. These etudes do not include any rolls or ornamentation. They consist only of rhythms and dynamics, making them suitable for practice on any instrument. 

By completing this collection, students will improve their ability to play sixteenth-note based rhythms. This fluency will give students more confidence in their reading as well. This leads to a stronger sense of independence when learning both solo and ensemble literature.
